2013 A$AP Rocky x Adidas 2.0 Black Flag
With an already storied relationship, which extends all the way back to his breakthrough “Purple Swag” track, hip-hop supernova A$AP Rocky teamed up in 2013 with Jeremy Scott and Adidas Originals for a new rendition of the designer’s JS WINGS 2.0 silhouette.
Paying homage to Rocky’s Long.Live.A$AP album, which features visuals of a black and white American flag, this collaboration found the silhouette embroidered with black stars around the upper. Simultaneously, the concept mirrors the ascent of the American Dream, which has been embodied by Rocky.
Crafted using sturdy ballistic nylon, these shoes are equal parts tough and stylish. The shoe features a tonal black canvas upper with Jeremy Scott’s signature wings at the heel. It also features embroidered stars on the right shoe, embroidered stripes on the left, and an all-black sole.
One of the stronger releases from Scott’s seasonal collaborative collection, the BLACK FLAG version of the JS WINGS 2.0 is a rare find for sneakerheads and A$AP Rocky fans as a very limited quantity were produced.
